My server have had this issue for a long time now and it's still there after I upgraded to 1.8.
The monitored hosts becomes reachable again after an Internet breakage but triggers for them does not update. In latest data one can see host status is 0 (up) and all items collect data. But in dashboard one could believe these hosts have crashed or something when the problem trigger is still active. Only way I got this to work again is to stop the agents until latest data goes to 2 (unreachable) and restart the agent.
This only happens on agents that do not use the default listen port as there are multiple servers behind one firewall. Don't know if that info helps.
