monitoring internal server

Hi, can ZABBIX do this..I have a VERY important windows 2003 file server at a remote location. I want to be able to monitor it from my remote office. I can install the agent on it, but how can I monitor it without setting up a VPN. if I foward the port, would it work? Any suggestions or HOWTO's would be great. Thanks

I would think the best thing to do is to set up a VPN, but i don't see any reason that a port forward wouldn't work. Of course if you port forward it, anyone who knows either by port scans etc, can hit that zabbix agent as well. VPN is likely your best best.
