You can execute an update SQL command.

      Thanks Fatiha,
I thought somethings more simple. I a bit afraid to make change directly in zabbix database.

        Hi,

May be I don't understand what you want to do since triggers depend on item values.

However, if your trigger is associated to an item of type "Zabbix trapper", you can change item value with zabbix_sender command line utility.

          Thanks for your attention,

I just don't want to receive alert between 2 hours during a bakcup.
I would like, that the backup script stop the monitoring at the beginning and restart it at the end of backup.

          ps:sorry for my English mistakes

I think 'time' function for trigger can help you.

              thanks luciano,

I'm going to use this solution if it isn't possible to deactivate a trigger by simple command line.
But if someone know another solution, he can propose it.

              Thanks everybody for your help

Why not create a zabbix trapper item, and have the backup script update the item when it starts and finishes. This item has an informational trigger, that your original trigger depends on. That way you won't get the alerts during the backup, and you'll actually know when that window was on a daily basis.

                  thanks tighed,
this is exactly what i want to do.
I don't know why i haven't understood when Alixen has proposed to me to use zabbix trapper item and zabbix_sender command.

and one more time many thanks everybody

And about 'Maintenance Periods' (ZBX-1.8) ?
You can schedule to a host or host groups and choose to collect data or not during this period.

                        Hi,

we are in zabbix 1.4.1 and it seems me that it doesn't exist maintenance period in this version.

But in our case zabbix_sender + item zabbix_trapper is a good solution
