What is the recommended way to monitor the messages file in Linux?
I tried setting up an Item with Type log, and then a Trigger to watch for keywords.
But nothing resets the trigger so any new items that should trigger an alert don't.
I've seen mention of using nodata to reset the trigger.
With 1.6.x this works, but with 1.8 when an OK trigger comes in it groups the other events under it, which normally is nice, but with logs not so much so.
Unless you expand the "+" box you don't see the Problem event.
Is just expanding the box the only option, or am I missing a better idea?
