Why do some items are not updated?

Why do some items are not updated?.

I have the same configuration for the items, and I have the same items for some hosts.

Can someone help me please?.

Are the items supported on the failing hosts?

Any error messages on Conf --> Items page?

Any errors in zabbix_server.log?

If using zabbix agent, test the items using zabbix_get from the zabbix server.

Thanks for writting so fast. I response your questions:

A: Yes

A: No

I get updates for these items but not in the update interval (30 seconds). The items update in days. I used zabbix_get from the zabbix server and items are ok. I think it could be a process problem, the mysql has only one process and has taken already half CPU uptime. The process is all the time on one processor.

Number of hosts (monitored/not monitored/templates) 189 46 / 77 / 66
Number of items (monitored/disabled/not supported) 1546 1384 / 82 / 80
Number of triggers (enabled/disabled)[true/unknown/false] 705 627 / 78 [7 / 71 / 549]
Number of users (online) 15 4
Required server performance, new values per second 74.3307 -

Could the problem be the zabbix db?.

Have you tried increasing the number of Pollers/Trappers in your zabbix_server.conf? (Don't forget to restart)

Thanks Mrken I'll give it a try, by the way I get this log entry on the monitored hosts:

2126:20100111:094900 Got SIGPIPE. Where it came from???

Do you know what it means?

I've spent a lot of time in the last month working on issues with various hosts / items not getting updated and it all came down to the backend database not being correctly optimized / configured. This may or may not be your problem but I figured I would at least make mention of it. I highly recommend checking out http://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthre...sql+consultant if you are using Mysql.

I tried increasing the number of Pollers/Trappers in my zabbix_server.conf, but still doesn't work.

I upgraded to 1.8 and everything works fine now.
