"_dynamic_" graph name - from item

I've got about 100 switches linked with one template. Graphs name's are form template, and named like 'Trafiic on port - e*'.
What I would like to do is replace 'e*' with port desciption from item 'ifAlias*'.
Something like 'Trafiic on port - {Template:ifAlias1.last(0)}'

On maps it works for label, how to do it for graph name. Is it possible?

now it's done by script, take's some time and unnecessary loads database.

This has been discussed before and IIRC someone had a patch to do this in 1.6.x. I can't believe this basic feature didn't make it into the 1.8 trunk, but I can't see a way to do it in 1.8.2.

Developers, richlv - can anyone officially comment on this?

Actually the patch was for 1.4.5. Many people have requested this feature since then, but we are all still waiting.

The Feature request already has lots of votes and watchers, so go ahead and vote, maybe then we might see this become a reality.

Thanks MrKen. The lack of any official word on this is disheartening. I don't even see any developer input on the "official" feature request (ZBXNEXT-1). I, unfortunately, made the assumption that this feature would make it into one of the next releases given it's such a basic feature. Time will tell, I guess and in the meantime I'll just hope I don't see the status of ZBXNEXT-1 change to "Won'tFix"!
