how to add proxy to existing zabbix server

I have a 1.8 zabbix server setup and running. I now find the need to add distributed monitoring proxy to get around a firewall issue. When I add a node number to my zabbix_server.conf and restart the server it gives me errors. [something about already existing data when doing an insert, I would have to try it again to get the exact error, logs have since flushed].

Since I am pretty sure someone knows what I am talking about, does anyone have a simple fix or mysql command I can run to resolve this issue??

    Hi,

I think we logs and comand line results to help.

    But ... I'm in doubt:
    Code:

    to my zabbix_server.conf...
To use ZABBIX Proxy isn't necessary any changes in zabbix node.
To use ZABBIX Proxy is necessary add the proxy name in 'Administration -> DM -> Proxies'.
