Monitoring Users Activity via port 80(http/internet)

Simple question guys, how do I set this up where I can keep a log of all of the users on my network via their ip address and/or mac address as well?

I'd love to be able to see where they're going to, how much bandwidth they are consuming etc..

Thanks in advanced. Any help would be awesome!! :-)

Something like that isn't easy too do directly with Zabbix.

I wrote a Zabbix agent in Ruby which interfaced with LibPCap to provide packet sniffing metrics. From there you could determine how much data each IP you decide to monitor is passing.

However one of the best programs for this is not Zabbix but NTop. NTop excells at this and will interface with switches and other devices and put it all in one central UI. On the flipside though NTop uses RRD so it's graphing and UI leave a little to be desired, but again it's the best Open Source solution out there for this task.
