We have two different localizations, these are: 1. department with zabbix 1.8.1 2. depatment with zabbix 1.6.8.There is runing server in department 2 with some application, there is a VPN connection between these two locations. If there is a possibility that one of the servers run some script and verify if the application is running on the other server and save it in both zabbix servers. Which is the easiest to achive it.

Your script can use zabbix_sender to send its result to both Zabbix servers.
