    User Permission

I all, I'm new to zabbix and I'm working on debian and zabbix 1.4.6.
I've some problem with user permission.
I read the documentation and I learned there are 3 types of user: zabbix_user, zabbix_admin and zabbix_superadmin.
Initially there are also some user group defined, and the permission for each group is deny all (included Zabbix administrators), is this normal?

Additionally I've create a new user thgnss, of type zabbix_admin and belonging to the Zabbix administrattors group. In accord with documentation thgnss user should have access to "configuration" menĂ¹ and have read/writre permission for each host group by default, and this is what I can see showing the user right on the user windows.
But when I log in as thgnss and access the configuration menĂ¹ I can't see (and so modify) any of the defined hosts, items and triggers, someone can tell me why?

Can you explain me how permission work in zabbix 1.4.6?

    Thanks All

    1. Upgrade to 1.8.x
    2. Screenshots of user permissions with expanded view would be nice..

I find that very hard to believe!
