update all zabbix hosts in one time

hi,

i would like to change the update interval of all hosts in one time.
(change it from 30 to 60)
is this possible ?

at the moment you would have to do this at the database level. It can be done though and it's not difficult.

I'll give an example assuming you are running mysql (as most of us are)

$> mysql -u zabbxuser -p
password:
xxxxxx

mysql> use zabbix;
Database changed
mysql> update items set delay=60 where delay=30;

huh, i did that and thought it was okay.

The hosts their delay time is now 180 (just 180 in the delay field) but i don't see anything coming in the "queue" but things are still monitored in a delay of 30 seconds.

so, it looks like you gave me wrong info, or am i doing it wrong ??
does anybody knows how to do it ?

maybe there should be some functions like this in zabbix.

so you're saying that things changed to 180 are not updating at all now?

Remember, that queue view is transitory, things go in there when their update interval is reached and they are deleted after the information is retrieved. Even with more than a hundred servers under my watch, I seldom see more than 20 entries in the queue and more often than not it's empty. Factor in the page refresh time and you'll see that staring at the queue is not a very good indication of what is actually being polled.

If you are not seeing updates for information that you changed to 180s interval, I would check the zabbix server logfile to see what the issue is. and verify at the database level that the items in question are actually set to 180 (although the front end should refelct this value anyway)
