    Installing 1.8.1 from ports

I just tried to install 1.8.1 on FreeBSD 8.0 from the ports, and while it did not report any problems, I only see the /usr/local/share/zabbix/server directory, the php directory is not there.

Is this intended and the php directory is now located elsewhere?

I also tried to upgrade an older test install of 1.6.1, using portupgrade, and the same thing happened, after the upgrade completed the php directory was gone.

    Thanks.

the software has been divided into four parts by FreeBSD

    zabbix-agent zabbix-proxy zabbix-frontend zabbix-server

If you want php code, please install zabbix-frontend

      That solved the problem. Thanks!

      But, new issues surfaced:

      1) It says the php5-gd version required is 2.0.34, the latest in the ports is 2.0, so this requirement fails.

      2) It says that GD PNG support is absent. On the GD port there is no option for PNG support.

Any ideas on how to get Zabbix 1.8 front end running using only ports? Or will I need to fetch tarballs and build php5-gd and gd from source?

What is your FreeBSD version? Has upgraded ports do?
My system automatically installed the php5-gd 5.2.12

        # cd /usr/ports/net/cvsup-without-gui
        # make install clean
        # rehash
        # cvsup -gL2 /usr/share/examples/cvsup/ports-supfile -h cvsup.freebsd.org
