ZABBIX with XAMPP Install

Hi all,

Can someone please post if anyone had maanged to finally install ZABBIX with XAMPP?

I've search the forum for a ZABBIX and XAMPP install and so far for none of those old thread had provided a response.

Am kinda hoping that maybe now someone had managed to do so. Don't have access to internet, so can't do a yum or yast or apt-get which is am stuffed with trying to do it the easy way, via XAMPP which already have most of its stuff and then XAMPP.

Anyway, any response or suggestion will be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

In response to my own question. I finally managed to configure and run make install and start the Zabbix server and agent on a XAMPP/LAMPP install.

Now the next question is can someone confirm whether the make install is supposed to create the /etc/zabbix directory and copy the sample conf file into that directory?

Is the same thing true for getting the URL to work, I have to copy all the php and web related files into the webserver directory?
