Stupid answer. Of course, if i was able to, i will. Mabye if i dont, thats because there are reasons.. I'm working in a worldwide business, we have group policies.
Maybe you can look in the registry to see if local_system has the right to read zabbix key. Also what about security settings on the program files/zabbix folder ?
In anycase, i wonder why your group has not migrated yet their server to NT4.
Nope, just "The service Zabbix didnt start due to : access denied" ... well, that helps me ..

I've found the problem : i guess i created the directory c:\win32 from my pc, using a browser, \\server\c$\ then File > New > Directory, etc
I just tried to delete that directory, then remote control the server, in order to create it directly. Then installing AND starting the service worked !
I dont really understand, because the user logued on the server had full permissions on that directory. Now, it has .. full permissions too !

Because it's a very big architecture. Of course, our datacenters have WS 2003, and are working on a 2008 migration. But there is no real need to pay new licences for a 2003 Server on every site.. that would be very expensive.. Of course, i now there are lot of adventages to get 2003 Server, but we also have to deal with datacenters : they manage money, they decide..
