On a test system I made extensive changes to the interval, history,trend and status settings to most of the entries in the Template_Linux template. Then I wanted to move all of the template changes to a second Zabbix server.
I ran Configuration -> Export/Import -> Export -> Group: Templates and put a check by Template_Linux (Items and Triggers were already checked.) I then exported the data and zabbix_export.xml was created.
Using a text editor I spotted checked a few entries and my new trend settings, etc seemed to be present in the xml file.
On the second Zabbix server, leaving all options checked, I imported the xml file and was told I was successful. Looking at Configuration -> Hosts -> Temlates I clicked on items in the Template_Linux row and none of the Interval, history, trends or status seemed to change from the default.
Any suggestions for successfully importing a template would be apprecieated.
