howto create one action for x hosts?

    Hey,

How can i affect one action for x hosts ?
i mean, i've tried an action, it works, good. i guess there's a way to configure this action to be active for all my hosts...?

I think i can do it by selecting first in conditions "group hosts", but then ?
the trigger i want to select after, is set for one hostname ..

    --

other question : where can i specify how many mails i want to be sent ? and how often ? in order not to be mail flooded..

    thanks !

    a)
    Not sure I've followed you,

but you can filter Actions by virtually any condition.
    You can filter by,
+(Like you said) Host Group A
    +host A or host B or host C
    +a string in Trigger description
    +etc....

    b)
You'll get one notification by activated/deactivated Trigger

Your problem is not with the action but with the trigger.
You have to create this trigger for each host that needs it.
The best way to do that is to create a template with the item and associated trigger and link it to each host.

There is no rate limit builtin in Zabbix.
You have to carefully set up trigger dependencies in order to limit the number of mail sent.
