    No Data on Screens

    Hi,

    Before I forget:
    Zabbix 1.8.1 Server
    Zabbix 1.8.1 Windows Client
    Debian Lenny

I'm new to the product but am loving the features
Being new I'm stumbling around the interface and for the most part gotten a lot of help from the forum. I have scour constantly looking for a resolution to my problem but have not found a solution, hopefully someone here can help me with the issue. It's probably my lack of knowledge to the product.

I created items on the Windows Template (File I/O, Network Bandwidth, CPU utilization) and received data from all the hosts that I added. I then created graphs from the items and they are displayed very nicely. Since graphs only contain one specific set of items I decided to create a screen so I can view multiple hosts on one screen. The screen looks good and data is constantly updated on the chart. The problem is when I go to Monitoring --> Screens, I would select the screen the I created but under items it would indicate "no data". If I go back to editing the screen I see data and the graph looks good and constantly updated. What is the difference between the two and why am I not seen data when I go to Monitoring --> Screens? Please Help

    Weird

OK I think I've solve my problem.

For some reason the graph would always display the incorrect date or time. When incorrect date or time is selected (default) there is no data for it to display which is why there is is listed as no data. Now why it chose to pick a date long ago or a future time where there is no data I don't know. I do know that I need to select the Current time, once that is selected it will display relevant data and charts.

Thanks for posting that. I thought I was the only one that was being bothered by this.

This sounds like a bug. Put it in the tracker and hopefully it'll be fixed in the next release!

          1.8.2

Well I see that 1.8.2 has been released and one of the updates was to move the time bar to the top of the window. Personally I like it on the bottom, but that's my opinion.

Hopefully they default the time slider to the present (now) which would always display data and not a time in the past.
