notification in zabbix

Hi to all
I recently install zabbix-1.8.1 un ubuntu8.10. all thing quiet ok, but when i test by disconnecting a host i receive in my mail box this mail:
Objet : {TRIGGER.NAME}: {STATUS}

{TRIGGER.NAME}: {STATUS}

in orderhand i also receive this mail
Zabbix database is down
or all things is good in the database.
Is someone have solution about theses problems?

monitoring without agent (agent -less)

Hi to all,
i am new on zabbix and i am succefull install version 1.8.1 on my network and all thing is good when the host have an agent installed. The problem is i would like to monitor certains hosts without using any agent (zabbix agent or snmp agent). So i have been create this host and one trigger but i test by disconnecting the hos i receive this message
Objet : {TRIGGER.NAME}: {STATUS}

{TRIGGER.NAME}: {STATUS}

i dont understand nothing about
