    Triggers on Eventlogs

    Hello,
I managed to monitor my Windows Eventlogs with Zabbix 1.1 beta 2. However, I have no idea how to trigger certain events (e. g. "Netlogon" errors after rebooting a server or "Previous shutdown was unexpected" after a crash).
Any help on this will be appreciated.

How are you monitoring the EventLog? This might be able to help people figureo out how you could setup triggers on the events.

I use "eventlog[system]", "eventlog[application]" and "eventlog[security]"; type of information is "Log", and it is defined as "active check".

Are these custom user parameters you setup? These don't seem to work for me on my win2003 boxes. Also, don't see a mention of these in the documentation.

I defined an item the way it is described here:

However, I get neither an error message nor any results (the "latest data" section only shows dashes)...

I get the same thing. I don't get errors that it's not supported, but the values in "Latest Data" are just "-". Wonder what's going on there.

              Hi

I would like to know what are the values that are returned by the parameter. How are alerts triggered for these parameter.

              Regards
              Nancy
