    Zabbix newbie

    Hi All,

Was researching and looking for a server monitoring tool to test and see if it will be suitable for our mixed server environment -

Is it complex and time consuming to get up and running ?

I see there is a book that one can buy however i dont want to go that route if i'm not going to end up using the software so that is why i need your advice.

    thx guys

    Sup

complexity somewhat depends on your background - if you are familiar with basic linux administration tasks, it should be pretty easy (and you can always ask for help here or on irc).

that, of course, only involves initial installation - further down the road you can create really complex and powerful configuration

Zabbix is the most easy ,intuitive and free monitor tool that I had ever used.

Great thanks to Zabbix development team!!!

btw, I'm a network engineer and have ever used Nagios, mrtg, Cacti, sloariswind....
