Zabbix Server not running

Hello

Im using Beta 1.1 on Fedora Core 4

I have run ./zabbix_server with no problems, checked ps -a and i can see the process but when I check Zabbix status from web interface it is not running.

am I missing something obvious here? I haven't modified zabbix_server.conf

Right, just spotted the post earlier, dont know how i missed it.

The web interface is on the same box and i know its not gathering any data.

Its been running for 3-4 days now and had a few reboots.

anything unusal in the zabbix or sql logs?
are there any hosts configured?

if you have hosts and items set up for monitoring and the server is running then it should be collecting information, or at least *trying* to

I have one host setup which is being pinged via standalone. I'll setup a host with an agent and test

Ok, Setup a Win2003 server with the agent and started monitoring

Still reports as not running but is gathering data. i'll leave it alone and see if it sorts iteself as a previous post suggested.
