    SSO integration

    Hi all,

I am newby to ZABBIX and was wondering if someone have tried following:

    1. user management using LDAP (ApacheDS)
    2. web application security with Spring Security 3.x
    3. Single Sign-On (Java Open Single Sign-On)
    4. System monitoring - offcourse ZABBIX

My idea is to provide some system information data, and in order to reduce ammount of time, intention is to use ZABBIX. I've managed to install ZABBIX agent and server under Apache Web Server, made AJP proxy to Tomcat where I am going to make web application, some kind of management application, but also I need those ZABBIX data (just to show those data no actions provided).

User will have login.htm page where he will enter his credentials and password. Once authenticated and authorized I don't want to force him to enter same on ZABBIX page.

    Is it feasable ?

I saw some posts with successfull integration with Kerberos. I would pritiate any help, links or articles that you can give me at this moment.

    Thanks in advance!

If you're looking to write an application which is a wrapper to the Zabbix frontend you'll need to either call or duplicate the functionality of the Zabbix authentication routines including the cookies and get variables. It sounds like you are looking for an out of the box solution for this and right now I'm not aware of any. This will require some programming to make work.

As for integrating with LDAP, that works well. We're using it where I am. 389 Directory server is what we're using which is very similar to the other directory servers.

that might actually work with http auth - if you can make apache accept your sso credentials, it should work just fine to access zabbix without any additional authentication
