Zabbix customization procedure

If I edit http.c file under httppoller, do I need to re-install the whole Zabbix? or only a reboot is required? Has anyone customized the system?

If you edit any of the source files you need to recompile the Zabbix binaries. If you already have Zabbix running you need to restart the binaries for the recompile to work (if you've installed the recompiled file in the right place).

The reboot however, is up to you, but if you come from the Microsoft world I would suggest doing so, it will make you feel all warm n fuzzy inside. :-)
