Differences between ssh_perf et ssh simple checks ?

Hi all,

Does anybody know wich are the differences between ssh_perf and ssh simple checks ?
I know that ssh_perf get number of millisecond spent connecting to SSH server.
But, is there a difference between the two checks, in their procedure ?
Do they have the same approach?

Just read the manual

ssh simple check just tells you if ssh is running
ssh_perf gives you ssh response time.

I just want to know how these two checks works ?
Do they work the same way ? How do they work ?

Maybe a developper could answer me ?
