    Saving configuration for appliance

    Hi

I am running Zabbix from the CD and so far it is working beautifully. Originally I had ran Administration\Installation wizard and saved the output from my browser to a USB key and everytime I reboot it, I copy the zabbix.conf.php from the USB to /usr/share/zabbix/conf and everything seems to work fine, but now I've done a lot of other configuration while experimenting with the system.

Where do I find the configuration files so I can copy them everytime I need to restart the system? I know there is probably a MySQL database that I have to copy everytime.

    Thanks

Yep! once you get the zabbix frontend the rest of the "settings" if you will are stored in the MySQL database. The trends and history tables you won't need to copy everytime, however if you're using mysqldump to save/restore you'll want to make sure to at least capture the schema of those tables.

The MySQL database is in memory. We're a Microsoft shop. So I would need to backup the MySQL database and restore it if and when i restart the machine.

      Does MySQL have one file?
