Right way to monitor child node

Hello,

What is right way to monitor child node from master server?
I want to fire trigger on master node when some web scenario reach treshold on child node. How can I construct trigger on master node?
Or there is different aproach?
Can anyone explain me this ?

Or a proxy?

I have made a small template using passive agent checks which checks the:
- Host availability (ping)
- agent status
- proxy (or node) process status

Is there a better way? I assume the main node has information on this (either proxy or node) which can be used as internal check?

I know thats old issue, but we have same on Zabbix 2.0 - sometimes in DM doesn't work syncing. Is there any way to monitor Child node from Master?
