How to monitor ESXi4/HP Insight Agents

    Hi all,

I am banging my head against a wall here I have a number of ESXi4 hosts running on HP GL360 machines running the HP version of ESXi 4.0 (i.e. it includes the insight agents).

I have added the host and linked it to the HP Insights Server template but latest data isn't showing anything other than "Unreachable".

I have read the various posts on here but I just wondered if there was 'a better way'? Also, I really don't know much about monitoring these things so please treat me gently

I have enabled the SNMP server by following http://techblog.sunsetsurf.co.uk/200...here-for-snmp/

and if I do an snmpwalk then I get a nice list of information. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to display any hardware statuses, which I was hoping for from the HP Insight agents.

By the way, all servers have the advanced iLO pack installed, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the SNMP gets working on those

Any help would be very very helpful. I also need to figure out how to monitor my HP SAN next.

EDIT: I am running registered copies of ESXi with a vsphere license an the vcenter client shows all the hardware information, so the information is available somehow.

    Many thanks

        /etc/zabbix/zabbix_server.conf
That's the part where I missed verifying. Thanks!
