Would somebody please explain to me how to send out an email after an alert has been acknowledged? Something that would state that it has been acknowledged by which user...etc.

In the next step, for example: 11-21(steps) you set the condition "Event acknowledged = Ack" and if someone does not respond to an event, this step is omitted in the escalation.I get exactly what you're saying, but what about the steps? Take a look at this screenshot... each of those action operations has (Event acknowledged = "Not Ack"). Do I create duplicate rules for each of those, only have (Event acknowledged = "Ack") with a non-default ACK message?Comment

Have you verified that this works? I haven't been able to get Zabbix to ever send an "ACKNOWLEDGED" type email using that as a criteria.
Wouldn't this also result in multiple ACKNOWLEDGED responses? I mean, you can't just put a blanket "always send on every step" message for ACKNOWLEDGED alerts unless you want to receive them every time the period time interval has been reached.Comment

Okay! I finally got this to work!!! I can't believe it. I wish there were more clearer instructions in the manual for this.
I created duplicate actions for my NOT-ACKs to ACKS....here is another screenshot: (TURN OFF DEFAULT MESSAGE, AND PUT SOMETHING IN THERE THAT FIRES WHEN A MESSAGE IS ACKNOWLEDGED.)
Hope this helps.Comment

But you're proving my point here. In the example as you have it, you'll receive up to 9 messages stating that the problem has been acknowledged. You have steps 1-10. Presuming that the event gets acknowledged immediately after the first message you'll receive an acknowledge message for each of the next 9 steps.
This works, but it's not what I would call a solution. What we have repeatedly asked for is a true acknowledge solution where we receive a single "Acknowledged" message when someone acks the problem, then blissful silence.Comment

Okay, so after working with this further and in trying to figure out how to configure this so that it only sends out ONE message of an acknowledgement and no more. I thought that I'd be able to create an Action Operation like I have listed below: (But it doesn't even run if I ack a message)Comment
