Configuration of network maps

Hi.

I am new on zabbix and Iam find lot of problem trying configure the network maps.
Please I would like to ask a favor if some of your can help me whith a explanation how to set it. it may be whith tutorial or some thing like.
My version of zabbix is 1.8.

I would strongly recommend to upgrade at least frontend to ZABBIX 1.8.2, due to problems with maps in 1.8.0 version, which you could encounter in creation process.
