virtual appliance, export and import not working

I'm running latest virtual appliance.
When I try to export I get error:
http://servername/zabbix/export.php (even in firefox or ie)

When I try to import I get no response (a black screen)

Can you help me please?
I'd like to import a squid template

I tried to download 1.8.3 build (I'm on a 1.8.2) ad change only the frontend.
The problem persists
Now I'm back to the original 1.8.2 frontend

Problem solved
I've re-installed: php5-xmlreader, php5-xmlrpc. php5-xmlwriter

I think the problem was a related dependency missing. Probably php5-dom but I'm not shure.
