Maintenance mode and IT Services / SLA calculations

    Hello all,

In our environment we are using the maintenance plan feature in 1.8 and have several 'services' defined in IT Services (SLA).

I recently got a question from one of our users regarding these two features. SLA services are defined for some systems which also are part of a maintenance group. Although the maintenance plan is functioning correctly, the SLA / uptime report will still interpret these systems as down, and thus (in our case) breach SLA.

Am i correct in assuming that the SLA calculations do not take maintenance mode into account (at all)?
If so, is it possible to either:
    - make SLA calculations maintenance aware
    - Add an option to the SLA configuration screen to take maintenance mode into account

    Kind regards,
    Tom

After some searching, I decided to create a PHP page in order to "fix" this.

The page allows you to select an expired "Maintenance period", and by clicking the link "change availability", you well be able to change triggers status belonging to hosts in the maintenance period

So after a maintenance, you can decide if trigger status was OK, PROBLEM, UNKNOWN.

Screenshots attached (some texts in galician language)

I'll attach later (no I'm out of time) the PHP code, and patch to include the link "Change availability" in maintenances.php page.

yes, of course, but now, I´m on holidays till 26th july... after 26th of july, I promise I´ll release this patch and another one that I´ve done (copy history/trend data from one item to other)

I finished the patch and also added a little feature to know the status during maintenance period, before changin it.

            Talk soon.
            Cheers.

              patch attached

Patch attached.. Please read the "readme" file because this patch needs to change some zabbix source code files.

If you have any problem please let me know

              Cheers.
