Daily email reports?

I was wondering how one would go by having reports emailed daily, HTML email or PDF.

there is no go... zabbix have not any ...even basic usable report features and its very frustrating that this type of software ignore such a basic thing like reports created from gathered data.

What most of us seem to do is use iReport and JasperServer (both opensource/free and pro versions). It allows you do schedule reports and email them as well as export to various formats (pdf, excel, word, csv, etc...). I am creating several basic reports right now that I plan on posting on the wiki (once I'm happy with them).

The other option, that I initially got working was a pdf export of graphs (100% based on someone elses work done for Zabbix 1.1). If you search for fpdf you should come across his old posts. Its unfinished (at least its not to my liking just yet), but works great (albeit slow on the trigger report). It uses fpdf to generate the PDF's in php and sends them back to your browser. I'm in the process of posting that to the wiki (with some basic instructions). I'll repost here once I finish uploading it.

Reporting (and exporting functionality to various formats) is definitely something that needs some focused attention for the Zabbix devs.

Is it something you're willing to share? We're looking into generating reports from Business Objects at the moment, but we're still at the early stages of getting our head around the schema.

What sort of reports do you generate?

Thanks for the screenshot. I'm more looking for graphs etc, but would you mind sharing the SQL that use used to extract the data? It may give me some clues in to what I'm trying to do.

Also, what method have you used to automate sending an email with the results?

We just need to select the host. then we have select the time period(hour, day, month, year). then it generate PDF which includes all the graphs

Are you willing to share how its done? i.e. any scripts etc. I'd understand if not as it sounds like you've put a lot of work into it.
