send few values in to zabbix server

    Hi
I have to monitor network interfaces in period of 30 second and compare them.So difference time in polling data from agent must be less than 1 or 2 second. But when zabbix server get these data difference time is more than 15 up to 20 second that is not desirable for our purpose. My idea is writing script for calculate values and then send to zabbix server.but I did not do it before.
If anyone has good or better solution about my purpose please share with me.

    Thanks in advance

for sending data into zabbix you would use zabbix_sender : http://www.zabbix.com/documentation/.../zabbix_sender

but note that minimal period for zabbix graphs is one hour, which might not be suitable in your case

to send in the values, item type must be 'zabbix trapper'. zabbix server does not poll such items.
