Apache is not detected

Hello,

i'm new to Zabbix. I have the same problem as desribed hier: http://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8972
Our servers running with Ubuntu an Debian

Inetd and syslog is the same problem - what can i do here?

Where can i edit the template?

Depends on the version of Zabbix you are running on how you get there.

If you have 1.8.x go to Configuration --> Hosts and use the dropdown boxes at the top right, you can select "template" and then the template you have assigned to the hosts you are seeing the issues on.

An alternative method for 1.8.x is to go to Configuration --> Hosts and find one of the hosts where you have the issue, then under the "Items" column, just click where it shows the number of items for that host. That will take you to the items at the host level. To the left of all those items listed for the host, will be the template name that they belong to, click on the template name and now you will be at the template level where you can edit them.

If you have 1.6.x, I think you can go to Configuration --> Items then select the template from that area.

You have to edit the items at the template level for this.

That will be a welcome change!!

Now we just need "hide/show disabled items" at each items screens instead of having to access the filter for that.
