UCD-DISKIO-MIB::diskIODevice = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID

Hi all,

I m try to fetch the disk IO information but its not working with some machine. The error which i m getting is

snmpwalk -c ****** -v 2c dc3 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.13.15.1.1.2
UCD-DISKIO-MIB::diskIODevice = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID

Did any one knows how to resolve the issue?

Some Machine related information:

Actually this is a forum for the Zabbix not for the NET-SNMP.
Anyway...

It means that your system probably is not supporting the UCD-DISKIO-MIB.
To have it the net-snmp must be compiled with the support of "--with-mib-modules=ucd-snmp/diskio"

You can check this on your system with the command

net-snmp-config --configure-options

and check if the output have "ucd-snmp/diskio" entry in the --with-mib-modules line

net-snmp-config is in the net-snmp-devel package.
net-snmp-devel-5.1.2-11.EL4.10 in your case

Guys u r correct, net-snmp was compiled with the DISKIO module.

Now the problem is, I don't want to recompile the whole package again for the single module.

Is there any good tutorial which tells how to add module dynamically to the net-snmp.

Hi

Please try running the following command to get the o/p:
snmpwalk -v1 -c <community string> <IP> |grep -i hrstorage

By this command you should be able to get the disk/RAM/Virtual memory related data for that particular server. Accordingly you can then use the snmp OID for disk.
