    'Latest Data' ahead of time, no data being received

    Our Zabbix server gave up working about a month ago, there has now been a need for it to be working again, it connects to the host, both ends can telnet to each other on port 10050 / 10051, hosts are listed as available, but simply no data comes through, I think this comes down to the 'latest data' is received on 23rd July, which is next week, I think some of our in house team may have pushed the date forward on the server, which I think maybe the issue and it could be dropping what it thinks it 'historical data' surely someone must have come across this before, how can this be simply resolved?

    Check to make sure the timestamps are correct everywhere... The monitored host, the zabbix server and most importantly the machine you're running the web browser on.

        What about the clock on your local workstation, the one running your web browser?

            Might be worth checking your system clock as compared to your hardware clock on your Zabbix servers. if you're on Linux-

            System clock:
            sudo date

            To see your hardware clock:
            sudo /sbin/hwclock --show

            Lastly, make sure your settings are correct on your Zabbix App server in php.ini for your date.timezone setting.

              Please find the output below:

              [root@dc0 ~]# /sbin/hwclock --show
              Fri 16 Jul 2010 12:08:19 PM IST -0.816221 seconds
              [root@dc0 ~]# date
              Fri Jul 16 12:08:20 IST 2010

              Zabbix Front end Latest data time which is getting updated as per the item.

                    I think tcjts1 is on the right path. It's rare that Zabbix stores times wrong. Usually when there are time related problems it comes down to all hosts not being properly syncd on time and all hosts not having the proper timezone settings.

                      Here are my settings

                      in php.ini
                      [Date]
                      ; Defines the default timezone used by the date functions
                      date.timezone =NZST

                      and hwclock

                      @debian:~$ sudo /sbin/hwclock --show
                      Mon 19 Jul 2010 10:51:02 NZST -0.000587 seconds

                      Date is correct

                      Latest Data etc etc

                      General (7 Items)
                      Host boot time 23 Jul 11:54:40

                      Is there a way I can purge out the old 'latest data'? like rename a /log in /var/log somewhere
