After creating a template with items and triggers to create events when some important files are not found, I created a Host Group that contains the Hosts that I want to add that new template to. How do I add a template to all of the Hosts in a Host Group? (I could add the template to each host, one by one, but I am trying to be lazy).

Use the "Mass update" function.
Pull up the host group that shows all the hosts. Check the check-box at the top left of the host list (Left of the Name header), this will put a checkmark next to all the hosts. Scroll down to the bottom of the list and use the dropdown menu to select "Mass Update". Click on the "Go" button and then you will see all the options you can apply to that entire list of hosts.
Probably will want to use "Replace Linked templates". Checkmark that and you will see further options to pick the template you want to use.
I am on the 1.8.3 frontend... yours may be different depending on your version.
