Ping Check from Active Agent

There must be a simple way of doing this but i cant seem to work it out. We have zabbix agents set up in many remote locations which are using active checks (they are behind firewalls we cannot congifure). I just want to be able to do ping checks (response times, timeouts etc) from each of the agents to a few web sites like google and yahoo.
Any help is appreciated.
