    Windows available memory?

    All,

Anyone know how to monitor the true 'Available' memory on Windows machines?

memory.vm.size[available] is not supported by Zabbix agents on Windows platform.

    These both work.

    vm.memory.size[total]

    vm.memory.size[free]

Yes, but... [free] on Windows agents doesn't report the 'true' free, which would exclude what has been used for file system caching etc.

I monitor a ton of 'virtual' servers running in VMware environments, many of which can have as little as 384 Megabytes of memory allocated to them.

The 'free' item on these servers can routinely report as little as 10 Megabytes of memory free, etc, which causes a trigger on my template.

Of course, I can just lower my trigger value, but.. really what I'm interested in finding how much memory is truly available.

The 'available' type works great for Linux.

        Hi,

Someone know if this feature would be available on Zabbix version 1.8.3 ?

And what about FreeBSD OS ? I just tried and i get a 'ZBX_NOTSUPPORTED' error while on this page it is stated that the 'available' memory should work on FreeBSD.
Does anybody know why it doesn't work ?

        Thanks
        Simon
