    Zabbix Queue problem

    Hi,

I have something strange with Zabbix : items are no more monitored.

Hosts are activated, they answers to some of items (ping for exemple), but all other items got they last value long time ago.

In the Administration/queue page, I can see almost all items are delayed for 40 years !!

    01 Jan 03:00:01 40y 33w 6d BACKUP Processor load5
    01 Jan 03:00:01 40y 33w 6d BACKUP Total memory
    ...

    the date is wrong too.

What doest it means ??? items will be next checked in 40 years ?? This is really stupid in my opinion...

    My questions are :
    - how works this 'feature' ??
    - How can I empty this 'queue' ???
    - How can I prevent this /disable this ???

I my opnion, Zabbix should always (and only) check, with the interval setup. If It cannot reach the agent or the server, it should just alert. and don't put items in a kind of quarantine space

    I really don't understand this queue ..

Can someone help me please ?

    Thank you

    Okay

I found by myself, network admin have change Zabbix server's IP, and don't change the server's IP in client configuration...

I corrected this and It works fine again.

But a question is still pending : how to disable queue 'feature' ?? Instead of delaying checks, zabbix should have alerted me ! All triggers should have been in red..

    How can I do that??

    Thx.

It's not really an answer to your question, but I just wanted to note that 40y and 33w just so happens to be the time that has passed since the Unix epoch, which was 1-1-1970. I think you should probably file a bug report/feature request because something should have been flagged/alerted instead of silent failure..
