I am currently testing the upgrade procedure from 1.6.8 to 1.8.3. I found nothing the documentation (chapter 5.7) how to convert from latin1 to utf8. The "upgrade" script does this but also says "This script is not intended for distributed monitoring databases". Which part of the script is not compatible with DM?
The script also checks for for hosts not belonging to any group. But this steps are missing in the chapter 5.7 of the documentation. Is it necessary to do this and are there some other necessary steps missing in the documentation?
