    How to send out emails

    How you guys doing?

I've just started working for this company and I have a small problem...and I'd like your help! ;-)

I've installed Zabbix 1.8.2 on Linux Debian Lenny and I want to send emails when an problem occurrs. Everything is ok on Zabbix, actions are done, etc...
Now, I need to configure something in this Debian to send out the email and my problem is here:

    1)
I've installed exim4 and tried to use the gmail account to send emails, however, it looks the company here blocks ports 25, 465 and 587 because it just
didn't work. I've done the same configuration at home e worked.

2)Well, then I thought using my company's email account. Howerver, here it's used the Exchange 2007 and it looks this guy has some new functionalities
that I wasn't aware of. On my outlook I just set my company user, pass and the exchange server and everything just works.
I've used wireshark on my PC while sending and receiving emails and the only open port between my PC and the exchange server was 443.
So, it looks that the everything goes through 443 (I had never seen that)!
I've tried to contact the Exchange guys, but no success. NO replies for my emails, always busy, etc...
So, I have to get it done without their goodwill.
I looks the relay in exchange is also closed. (couldn't confirm that with them as well).

Well, I'd like to know if you guys know some way to send out the email (via script, sendmail, etc...anything) using my corporate email.
    Just a remeinder:
    - relay in exchange is closed.
    - the sending and receiving emails is through port 443 (as it seems).

    Thanks in advance!

if the exchange does not have port 25 open, your chances are :

    1. get them to open it (enable smtp);
    2. use something that can grab data on the commandline, authorises & submits the message over mapi (i believe). no, i'm not aware of such a tool... the first option seems to be the best one
