    Different working time profile

There are hosts with a different working time . For example, switches in the server room must operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week whole year, but ADSL-router at the remote office - from 8:00 am till 5:00 pm, excluding public holidays and weekend.

So, I would like to monitor hosts in accordance with the working time.
This could be made by handy turning off monitoring for not 'fulltime operating' hosts before the weekend. But then there is the human factor and when I came on Monday at work, I'll not know the current status of hosts.
Another solution is to create a separate template for such devices and make time condition in the trigger - so getting a couple of duplicating templates.

IMHO, the mechanism should be such - a group of hosts with the same working time is assigned to some profile (template), in which declared some conditions (for example, all triggers lower theirs level to informational at weekend).

Smoking the manual, the book by Richards Olups and the forum did not give me any idea . If some one solved this question - help, pls.

    Hi,

I think that you could use maintenance periods for that.

After checking online manual, I haven't found any detailed explanation. The only place with a short description is http://www.zabbix.com/documentation/...st_maintenance

Basically, you can define your off hours as maintenance periods. If you select "Maintenance type: with data collection" you will still get all data but triggers will be inhibited.

Yes, defining maintenance periods is the right solution for this.
