How to set up a chain of dependencies across items and networks?

    Hi all,

I am having problems with chains of dependencies across items and networks. Let me post a picture of this, so you can understand what i mean:

I am trying to avoid excessive alarms and reports by chaining the dependencies of triggers like this:

On my local network, I have a zabbix Server. I monitor hosts in following order:
    1) UPS
Without electricity there is nothing, so if the UPS is down, there is no need to trigger other error messages
    2) Switch/Link
Without network I won't be able to see other hosts, so if the switch is down, there is no need to trigger other errors or "no data received"
    3) Firewall
Without firewall working I am not able to see WAN, so therefore I am not able to see my customer's networks. No need for further triggers
    4) Uplink
Without WAN working I am not able to see my customer's networks. No need for further triggers
    5) Without the customer's UPS working, I won't be able to see any of his other components, no need for further triggers
    6) Without the customer's switch working, I won't be able to see any of his other components, no need for further triggers

As zabbix seems to have an issue with dependencies across items, is there a way to set this up?

    Thanks in advance
