    Making the notification e-mail useful

    Hi,

Some questions regarding actions from triggers:
    • Can we add a macro to a trigger, so that all messages come with a link to either the event, or the graphs?
    • I get the occasional pair of problem/OK actions 1 min apart. I would like to raise helpdesk tickets when triggers fire; is there a way to configure Zabbix so that it doesn't raise a ticket for a very short-term spike, but perhaps only if a failure state has existed for 3-5 minutes?

To first question... I don't know if it's possible, I doubt about it.. You can have email with html code... Maybe someone else knows??

To second one.. it's possible and I've done for my company.. We have deployed zabbix, and when we have an alert for more than 5 minutes it sends the email to our ticketing software (request tracker) (also I've done a patch in order to check if a ticket from the same host is still opened in RT, and if there is one ticket opened, then, zabbix won't send the new ticket).. if the alert lasts less than 5 minutes, zabbix only sends mails to "IT admins" just to check whats going on..

this thread explain all related to actions.. [a must read]

    Cheers.
