    can i monitor a windows sharing ?

    I need monitor a windows sharing to zabbiox server ...

    how to create a trigger for this operation ?

    Not sure I understand the question, but if the Windows box is sharing a folder and that folder is being mounted by the Zabbix server, there are lots of ways to monitor that. If on the other hand, you simply want to monitor if the Windows box is sharing a specific folder, then you are a bit more limited on how to do it.

    Can you add a bit more detail, maybe we can help out a bit more if we had more details on what you are trying to do.

      i have a home NAS lacie 1tb . I use that for secondary copy op my datacenter db i need to check a windows sharing \\192.168.1.x\backup is online ever ...

          A userparameter would probably be the easiest way to check for this.

          Create a script that checks for the existence of your share from
          Code:
          smbclient -g -L servername -Udomain\\username
          or one that tries to mount the samba share using smbfs.
          Code:
          mount -t smbfs -o username=<username>,password=<password> //<win-box>/<share> /mnt/<name-of-mountpoint>
          You can easily write a userparameter that will run your script and return the output into zabbix.
