"Global" trigger for entire Host Group

I hope the thread title made some sense. Let me try to explain what I'd like to do:

I would like to be able to create a trigger that is based on the status of ALL the triggers in an antire host group. Why would I wanna do this? Imagine you have a data centre with several racks. For each host you add to Zabbix you also make it a member to a additional host group with the name of the rack it is located in, "Rack_A01" for instance.

Then somehow create a trigger, for instance "Rack_A01_Status", that will switch to PROBLEM state if *any* of the triggers defined for the member hosts gets trigged by a problem.

With this, it is possible to create a Zabbix map of the data centre and have icons for each rack. If there's a problem with a server of any kind the relevant rack's status will turn red. And the URL of the icon could either be a link to all triggers for that host group or to a more detailed map over that specific rack.

    Is this possible?

    Hi,

If you define a map with an icon linked to an host group instead of a single host. Its state will reflect the highest severity level of all triggers in that group.

No need to create group triggers for that.
