Monitoring HDD Availability

Hey All!


Is there a way within Zabbix to monitor if a drive is showing in Windows.

Basically we have a server which mounts a NAS box as the S: drive, but sometimes the NAS box mucks up and the S: drive disappears, we're unable to monitor the NAS box as we're unable to get to it but can we monitor Windows to see if the S: drive disappears?

You should be able to do a size check or usage check, or something with perfmon. If you don't get an updated value for a certain period of time, say 5 minutes, you might able to assume it's gone offline.
