I am in the process of configuring my first Zabbix install. I have a desire to monitor several different Windows servers all behind firewalls.
It appears that configuring the Zabbix agent to perform only active checks to the perfect solution to prevent having to punch holes in the firewalls of the servers I want to monitor.
I've installed the Zabbix Agent on Windows, made sure Active checks were enabled and the monitoring server was properly specified. And of course, I started the service.
My Zabbix agent for that host is showing offline. I'm assuming thats normal since the Zabbix server cannot contact the Zabbix agent directly?
Is there a way to change the availability check to an Active check?
