Doing only active checks without passive checks. Is this possible?

Hello,

Is it possible to only have active checks, so the agent sends data to the zabbix server?

The host I want to monitor is unrachable for the outside but it can connect to the zabbix server.

I added some active test but nothing is happening.

When I check under configiration/items for this host I see Availability: Not available.

I use zabbix 1.8.3

In this case I cannot use proxies or nodes.

As long as you keep DisableActive = 0 on zabbix_agentd.conf
and setup the intended items type as 'Zabbix Agent (active)'
you should be good to go.

Your 'Server' in zabbix_agentd.conf has the same name as configured in the frontend right?
